Unlike A Human Poem by Stephanie Apila

Unlike A Human

I want to believe that it wasn't humans,
The master minds behind the insurgency

It was not a human's heart actually
The mothers were pushed to the corner,
A humiliation to human kind they suffered
What an abomination in the land of the dusky soil!
A woman's blatancy unprotected as wished.

Engaged by force to painful intercourse,
Children of pain were born in to the world
Mutilated not in a specific part of the body
Not only lips were put to a complicated outline
Deprived off their rights to nature call response.

Not like the nurtured heart of a human.
Was it really human blood in every vein?
