Stephanie Apila Poems

I scarcely know my origin
A story was told, having it all
I have no plans of my own
From the death of my papa while doing,
...

the barking dog for a father was worse than none
luxury given by a dark heart was only poisonous.

the chilly nights in the street could go unfelt with a brother to hold
...

A cursed womb is the befitting appellation
A womb that carried a generational curse,
Wrapped in the image of a normal fetus
He who became a world problem to be solved
...

I won't ask for too much here,
I won't put the load in any one's shoulders
Not by force, only those who want the same
As "I" shall take this from my lips
...

I'm a wretched lover
I have started to live in despair
I hope it makes you feel better
Because you didn't hesitate to leave
...

I perspire every moment
It's a better future that i seek
Working for unlimited hours
Amidst a batch of obstacles
...

All the letters in vain
My words appeared empty to the reader
Am downhearted and exhausted
In my vast bed where i feel
...

It's either affection or resentment
Do you call this love?
The one which isn't clear!
Your love is only full of
...

My landlord is a pain in the stomach
Always complaining
He says that the aroma affects his breath,
But no,
...

Let me be free
Free to say what aches my tender heart
Tender towards the suffering and ruthless
Towards those with one side of a heart
...

To call it a triumph for the poor you
Butchery is always what you pursue
Our Uganda wasn't enough for you,
A nation's blood wasn't enough to curse you
...

Words have not worked
The world is out of words
The rebel conveyors perished
We need another method
...

The war wasn't minor
In our Uganda
The warriors weren't minor
No place remained the same
...

We've become slaves of death
Death has developed wings
Like those of an eagle
The one that just got hold of prey
...

This was a rebellion against the new regime
Auspiciously it didn't slog even a slight bit,
There wasn't a chance to win the fresh regime
There is totally no chance for you to conquer,
...

Correct me if I'm mistaken
Tell me what my hearing misses
I suppose that not far from today
We shall have total silence in the land
...

Blubbering love isn't profitable
Practical love of action
Is the real affection
Our brothers whom we claim to love a lot
...

I have become crazy
I talk to myself day and night
I wonder to myself
...

Have you taken a look at our militaries?
Have you any idea what they do?
They have guarded the state
They still do and shall still do
...

I want to believe that it wasn't humans,
The master minds behind the insurgency

It was not a human's heart actually
...

The Best Poem Of Stephanie Apila

Twisted

I scarcely know my origin
A story was told, having it all
I have no plans of my own
From the death of my papa while doing,
The night duty
Usurped from my helpless mother
From innocent to guilty, trained to
Do dirty jobs...
With no purpose of living, just satisfying others'quests
With no idea of my mama's where about
My life is a twist
