Uncertainties Poem by Jaishree Nair

Uncertainties

Rating: 5.0

A family scattered with the risingsun,
to returnat dusk,
in the shelter zone of love...

The young ones outside..
Waiting for their familiar strides
fidgeting with anxiety
The sole one inside...

Insecurity the prime concern,
Returning to the shelter of comfort
is never a guarantee,
Shadows of ignorance lurking around..!

Attacked by a lunatic perhaps,
Waylaid by an animal -perhaps
Victim of a mishap perhaps,
Stricken out from the register of life in seconds...

The anxious hearts with pricks of uneasiness
Offering prayers to keep their loved ones
Safe from uncertainties of the unknown..
A deep sigh of relief at their return,

Thankful it was not their blood that day
But somewhere someone lamenting the loss
to mark theworldof today!

Human has really become helpless due to uncertainties and treats to life posed by a number of reasons to people in the home who had gone out for work etc and the home maker is left behind to worry about their safety till they return home. A thought provoking touching poem. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
