Valentine's Day
Cupid's invisible arrow poised
to pour out the potions of love
into the unwary souls of the destined
And change their lives forever..
Life so beautiful then, yet so ugly...
The twinge so exotic then, yet so aggravating...
The moon more brighter
The wind more caressing...
The nights mysterious with silvery shadows
In the hot sleepless dreams...
The days parched with the thirst of that
summer rain of cool presence
The dull broken benches facing the sea
the secret place of rendezvous..
where the rhythm of the pulse
tunes to the lovers melody...
The white lies, the excuses-
slipping away slyly
To whisper the magic words again and again
with repeated promises and oaths...
Temper tantrums painted with mood swings,
Perversity of gloom following like a shadow,
The tick tock loud in the silence of darkness,
The nights echoing the sighs of uncoupling...
Standing in the scorching sun and freezing,
Drenching with sweat in the raging torrents,
Impatient in losing the patience,
All delusions of forbidden love
Hand in hand, heart in heart
Music ringing in the ears
Till death do us part
A solemn promise within
Thirsting for a look
to douse the flame of emotions...
Longing for a touch
to cool the burning of the mind
To bond for life the final vow...
And behind the curtain with a gleeful gleam
the silent shooter sits with his arrow ready
searching for yet another Valentine! !
A lovely write of how cupid might set flight arrows of desire in unsuspecting hearts lacking desire.......well penned.
