Tulli From Tullibigeal Poem by keith brown

Tulli From Tullibigeal

Tulli from Tullibigeal

Be careful young Tulli be carful,
Be careful what you wish for-
drought
breaking rains are coming.
Tulli can't wait any more

Be careful! she cried becareful!
as Tulli was
walking away.
For, he'd taken his gun and provisions
He'd
Saddled the old dappled grey.
Tulle called back
Don't worry, without rain our crops will all fail,
theirs money a plenty a riding
The old Cargelligo Mail

Young Tulli rode out too the crossing
Intent on robbing the train
before his gun was unsaddled,
black clouds: it started to rain

The train thundered on through the crossing
Tulli thought of his children and wife
One step away from crop farmer
Too the ways
 Of a bush Rangers life

Be carful young Tulli be careful
Young Tulli from Tullibigeal
Be careful the things that you wish for
for your dreams and your life
It may steel

Tulli it's started to rain!
