Trees Poem by Naila Rais

Trees

Rating: 5.0

Don't cut me, don't cut me
I give you all the things
What bad have I done to you
Don't cut me, don't cut me.

I give you shade
I give you food
I give beauty
And the life.

I'm nature's friend
Without me it's impure
I keep my friend always pure
Don't cut me off I cry, don't cut me off I cry.

I'm great friend of yours
This is the cry of your friend
The friend begs to you
Save me, don't cut me off, I'm your friend tree.

Wonderful metaphor, trees are our benefactors and friends and yet we cut them down, to make room for our needless things.
