To My Love Poem by Madeline Karnes

To My Love

It's you.
It'll always be you.
You're my own personal definition of love.
I didn't know what it felt like,
To be so passionate about something.
Until I met you.

Everything about you.
Your faults, your perfections.
They're what makes me love you so.
You aren't perfect, my love.
But neither am I.
But we're perfectly imperfect together;
And created for each other.

You'll never understand;
How much of an affect you have on me.
I love your brown eyes;
And every fluorescent glimmer of gold,
That look at me with genuine adoration.
And your breathtaking smile,
That flashes a reflection of true happiness
And every elated emotion from missing me for so long.
I love your voice.
And the way it changes when you say my name,
And, 'I love you.'
I've lingered on many things you've said to me,
And I always will.

One thing is for sure.
I want you.
Always and forever mine.
I long for the day that you'll be lawfully mine,
And I pray to God it happens.
No matter what life throws at us,
You must always know:
Please always confidently believe
In my consistent, undying
Love for you.
