Time falls
Like silk to the floor
Crumpled yet beautiful
Shaped by what was before
Temptress seducing
Slinking toward my skin
To wrap myself up
In the past again
The sun shines through
And fades her hue
Like verde gris on copper
Bringing change and something new
This light revealing
Some future ahead
To shape with my hands
My hunger to be fed
Dreams like thunder
Call out my name
Follow through, my love
For you are not the same
I was left crumpled too
Fallen to the floor
Shaped to be wiser now
I walk through life's door
Weaving this time
Into a brighter path
I am my own master
Not the past or its wrath
