Till The Song Fades Poem by Ndina Kamaro Muofhe

Till The Song Fades

No resolutions,
It's just a revolution
Pass that blunt, let us connect
With the future in suspense and salty pasts
Let's mould this thrilling present,
Let the devil resent
While we bury its demons
Freeing caged thoughts
Feeling them explode like molotov cocktails
To set alight demons' paws,
Stuck in our souls
What a journey travelled!
Lessons and life learnt
Let my pen embrace this moment
And on these virgin pages, let it drain its swollen moods
Ridding stumbling blocks
To flatten streets where hope and faith shall walk.

Misty moments, dusted for clear visions
A boost to energy of those ambitions
Where the roads lead, is a treasure's position
Chapters done with, getting closed
History of tomorrow
To offsprings shall be taught

Another mile done walked,
Joy and sorrow met
Survival a success
Glitter the illumination
Lands promised, a dream
The smell of it, a sign, we're by its shores
Hardwork was the catalyst
Songs of pains assemble broken prides
As we dance and sing along, joy is begotten
And to the concerned,
Yeah! It's a celebration.

Spiritual vigilantes against man's natures
Unwanted by a vile society
But who cares?
They crucified their own to hide their agendas
Hypocrisy of the sadduccees and the pharisees
Cleaner robes covering dirty hearts
Kanti, what does a sin sounds and look like
And where is it written, by who?

So, we shall drown in our deeds and blame no one
Not even lusifa
For, if it's true that he exists,
Through human actions, then, he is long revealed.

So, till the song fades,
I'll dance my joy to the brims
Let the sky give me lips to kiss
And prune my wings
As I celebrate death of demons
To rejoice in the angel that I am!
