I had worried in the nights
These had robbed me many peaceful sleeps
I had wondered in days
Wishing for me, time would reveal
Why the world continues to cry?
Stories I tell never get old
For where they came from,
they are written in bold
Their blueprints are printed by an ink of blood
They sail back to slave ships
Closely take a look my friend,
You See the truth had been sold?
Do you wonder why prophets were killed?
Princes and Princesses wine and dine with cats
People they lead eat from their mats
Where they had wiped their royal shoes
Love... they preach to our ears
Behind, they architects our divisions
Millions they eat
On millions they sleep
What they give you, is a half a dime
What is love when equality is still imprisoned?
Closely take a look my friend,
Can you see who loses when there's peace?
Can you see who benefits when there's wars?
In nights and in days, we scream to the heavens
For that's where we were taught our freedom would come.
Yet, we remain builders of some people's eternity
Closely take a look my friend,
The grounds you stand on feed and dresses you
So, all in it deserves our praises
Including a mere bone that lies beneath them
To the heavens we cry freedom
If they have ears,
Let them free us from the servitude
Closely take a look my friend,
Who we are, no god can erase that
So, let's not curse that when we pray.....
