The Wicked Witch Poem by Aminath Neena

The Wicked Witch

Rating: 4.8

The wicked witch of the east
Belched after devouring the feast
Her face painted in white rouge
She searched for some crimson blood
To make the ultimate potion
On the eve of the new moon
Descending on earth once
In a thousand years
For, its immortality she wanted
Patiently for the prey, she waited
At the railway station
Exactly on time was the train
The victims walked past
Unseeing the danger cast
Just as she stood up for the kill
She tripped on her shoe lashes and fell
An officer on duty helped her recover
But when she did herself gather
The train had left the station in a jiffy
Only a vehicle destined to do its duty
And she was left sulking in her distress
But who’s to blame but her clumsiness
And that’s how she still remains
Mortal after all these years
