Aminath Neena Poems

The wicked witch of the east
Belched after devouring the feast
Her face painted in white rouge
She searched for some crimson blood
...

Where there is no respect
for the might
of the pen,
there is no life
...

You, light a candle in your heart

Fill your soul with the brightness of its entourage
Let not this world be a selfish mirage
...

You and I
We are fragments
Of a masterpiece
This you cannot deny
...

You, my little fairy

Are a precious little bird,

I was looking
at your picture

just like I always do

Standing across the bridge
gazing into an oblong ridge

I am lost-

Oh Palestine
I weep for you
In this dissolute darkness
Suffocating in this pitiful abyss

Demons of my past drag me back
Into a deep isolated well in the ruins
Bleeding heart

A fortress of iron
A place of ruin
A jail of some sort
where people sometimes fought

A night of glory
With the silver moon peeking
From the soft wisps of white folds
Hand in hand they move

Oh you there, you who loathe someone somewhere
Why carry the black beast on your shoulders
When on your left breast there is a fountain?
Fill it to the brim with the essence of love instead

The Best Poem Of Aminath Neena

The Wicked Witch

The wicked witch of the east
Belched after devouring the feast
Her face painted in white rouge
She searched for some crimson blood
To make the ultimate potion
On the eve of the new moon
Descending on earth once
In a thousand years
For, its immortality she wanted
Patiently for the prey, she waited
At the railway station
Exactly on time was the train
The victims walked past
Unseeing the danger cast
Just as she stood up for the kill
She tripped on her shoe lashes and fell
An officer on duty helped her recover
But when she did herself gather
The train had left the station in a jiffy
Only a vehicle destined to do its duty
And she was left sulking in her distress
But who’s to blame but her clumsiness
And that’s how she still remains
Mortal after all these years

Aminath Neena Quotes

Nothing is everlasting in this temporary world. Your money, your position, your power, your family, your health; all of which are temporal and may be taken from you anytime. So, be kind. Be humble and do good.

Failure is the corner stone of success. It is the beacon of light that guides you back on track. So never give up! Take failure as a lesson and an instruction manual to skillfully plan and develop on the next venture.

Whenever I reflect and contemplate upon life, I am in awe of God's perfect timing in all aspects; how he brings situations and people to correspond at the perfect time, on the perfect path, alongside the perfect road, so that events that collaborate with these significant timings can unfold gradually like that of the petals of a rose blooming one by one with utmost accuracy and grace. Should there be a second of miscalculation, everything could be detrimental in an instant and the symmetry could very well crumble into pieces causing utter chaos. And, at these times, when I ponder alongside these lines, my eyes brim with tears as I begin to understand God's love for his creation. Indeed, God's mercy is infinitely greater than the burden of our sins. And yet, we become impatient and complain? How ungrateful can we be?

If you want to feel good, just help a person in need; even a simple act of kindness on your part will brighten up the whole day for you, providing that, your objective was not to gain any material benefit or appreciation from anyone but for the sake of God only.

Writing can never be superficial because it is not only about having a good command of language but it runs much deeper than that.Good writers are able to connect with their readers so much so, that every time someone reads a piece of their writing, whether it is poetry, prose or just an opinion; the reader is convinced that the writer is exposing part of their own soul to them. Such is the alchemy of writing

The heart is sometimes just a toddler who cannot yet comprehend the constraints or the ethics of society neither can it predict the future from the topsy- turvy, maze of the present but its understanding is solely limited to its senses. Hence, it is the mind and its intuition that needs to play the part of the adult at these times.

The greatest sense of fulfillment you get in life is when you offer part of yourself to someone else and being a teacher, I do it every day. When God had paved the way for this to happen, what more could any one possibly want?

In the absence of a song bird, sometimes, even the 'caw' 'caw' of a crow, can be music to the ears.

Anyone can be a WRITER, if they possess these 5 qualities in them; namely, a love of language for a strong foundation, a creative mind to weave dreams, patience to edit and rewrite as many times as required, perseverance to combat delay of success and courage to face criticism.

They say 'a picture is worth a thousand words' but at the same time can they deny that one word can trigger the creation of a thousand pictures in the mind.? Never belittle the power of words.

Literature is art and art is too beautiful a gift to withhold from the world. So, never be afraid to express those words derived straight from the heart, for they make the loveliest paintings of all

Often, it is not what you say but how you say something, that makes the difference. Criticism is fine but we must always be careful with how we shape our words. You do not have to like everyone but you can still be kind to all.

I believe that poetry is just the same as love. When you love someone, you need to express your feelings momentarily, urgently and passionately even at odd times. Real love can never be forced or staged in the way someone wants you to. The same way, verse comes to you at certain moments when your feelings overwhelm you and when there is an urgency for immediate release. Poetry in its purest state, just as love, cannot be programmed or manipulated ever
