The Warning Poem by Naomi Waters

The Warning

A shout
A cry
A sound that doesn't reach their ears
You plead
You beg
For them to hear your warning
Still they don't move
They don't flinch
So you run
Trying to reach them
You shout again
But it is too late
A bang
A shot rings out
They fall
And you catch them
One last breath
One last word
You beg them not to go
You refuse to believe
To accept
They are gone
From the world
From your heart
You think back
You blame yourself
They would have lived
If they had just heard
Your warning

Warning signs are everywhere! Yet still, we cover our eyes from the Laws. Thanks for sharing.
