The War Within Me Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The War Within Me

Rating: 4.8

There's a war within me
As though, someone threw a bomb onto my heart
And my brain has melted when you left
All I see is the turmoil of the aftermath
That no tears can quench
I wander into the belly of the destruction
As I try to untangle the words at night.
I must go through the abyss
Because I know you are there in paradise
Waiting

Great poem, LeeAnn. I also wanted to leave a comment on your newest one but couldn't see a place to do it.
