The Sound Of Victory. Poem by Dorcas Tayire

The Sound Of Victory.

Rating: 5.0

The trumpets screamed in happiness.
The drums and guitars gave us some dancing steps
Our lips parted ways; giving in to an overwhelming laughter.
The violins and tambourines gave us some melodious tunes.
The piano couldn't hide its' excitement as it kept singing its' background rhythms.
'Victory has been won' Screamed the people.

The song we've been humming for years has finally been sung.
Misery; who once laughed us to scorn, couldn't help but mourn, for its end had come.
Yes! ! ! Victory has finally been won! ! ! .
