The So Called 'Mad' :) Poem by Khushbeen Kaur

The So Called 'Mad' :)

Rating: 5.0

Ever seen a mad guy
Dancing on his own?
Or perhaps, singing?
Singing his own note?

I have seen a mad guy, Jumping to the horn of my car
Ignoring the traffic, he was rolling till far
At first I called him stupid, But now I feel he is not
Just like us, the so called “normal”, He is another tied knot

A knot which is considered insane
By those who have an image to maintain
Who fake, who fight
Hide their face, when in light
Some full of emotions
down in the dumps, suppressed by negative notions

But look at the mad guy, he is so content
You bark at him, cos you don’t like to talk to him
But does it affect him ever?
Never!
cos he doesn't have that nerve
The nerve to feel emotions
The nerve to feel the pain
You will never see him groaning
Give him sun, shade or rain

We don’t live in the moment
We are full of expectations
We often portray the wrong reflection
To run after healthy relations

But look at the foolish guy
He is dancing on his own
He is not attached to anything
Independent in his joyful zone
Don’t pity on him, he won’t understand
Like a saint doesn't need luxury, he doesn't need a pity hand
No matter how cruel we become, he never absorbs the bad

When I feel disappointed and ungrateful for my life
When everyone seem against and nothing feels right
that hormone to feel the emotions, sometimes I wish I never had
I wish I could be numb to the pain and become the so called “mad”

The poem is full of complaints (Lol... joking) We humans are not that bad.: D 'Cuz there are people like you who take 'time' out: to observe the mad, to understand the gift of NOW. Keep writing! Your simple poems can raise some complex questions and make a common man wonder. Cheers. Peace.
