The Seamstress Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

The Seamstress

Rating: 5.0

The eye of a needle is very small indeed
It has a stubborn wink that defies concentration
The seamstress is on a mission of completion
At last the thread gains passage…congratulations

Thoughts of thread construct a garment of dreams
Sewn with promises and unfaltering determination…
The yards of fabric contour to her unique design
An accumulation of love …a one of a kind creation

The dimming light does not deter her aging fingers
As the candle flame of life begins to flicker unsteadily
Years of practice have not disappointed the outcome
A legacy of devotion has been shaped biographically

I liked the allusion of needling a thread…leading it to the thoughts of thread….making the garment of life… well woven unique thought… congratulations on the achievement of it.
