Two pairs of feet
Are on their way
To the point of no return
(or so they say!)

A lingering hesitation
A sudden boldness
A thoughtful stroll
A mirthful leap

A synchronous march
A hushed tip-toe
A deliberate step
A walk in the sleep

An eyeing their limit
A dare to go closer
A sudden retrace, and then
A circle, a circle

The two pairs of feet
Do not know,
That the point of no return
Was crossed long ago.
