The Pier Poem by Alexander Thomas

The Pier

Under a meditative moon,
Humming a lonely tune,
I sit waiting for you to appear,
Love is here at the end of this pier,
I don't need an angel,
I don't need a star,
All I need is you as you are.

I am real,
And for you truly heartfelt I feel,
You will find me,
When the moon is full,
Tugged by its gentle pull,
At the midnight hour,
Clutching a flower.
