The Nut-Seller Boy Poem by Chukwuebuka Adebayo

The Nut-Seller Boy

Rating: 5.0

His arms are large hills,
His legs are turning elephants;
He goes before the morning sun
He's known by every faces living here.

On the railway right there, you'll find him
He's always after running bus and bikes
He's a madboy-- sometimes will scream like wolf
And will scares everybody passing by---

But if you ask he knows why he does that----
Maybe that alone will give him what he want.
And when he returns late by moonshine;
You can read from the back of his legs.

The dirts and dusts in his brown hairs,
His life has been through hells and fights
Mama, there's something I want to say
And her mother he tells the whole story.

You see in life, in your life my dear son!
No one can tell the end of the beginning
No one knows the tomorrow of today;
Who teaches a happy heart how to smile?

Who comes to learn how to cry if one is grieved?
Things can go other way, they don't hide too long
Cause if you have your eyes, you'll know;
You are near to it, just get closer to see it.

Find love, put smile on people's face
And you will find it on your own too
That's my boy! ---her words are sleeping pills
And will smiles as he walks to his rough mat.

A well crafted, highly inspiring poem, but for few grammatical mistakes probably undictated during editng. A soothing write especially for those who 'hustle'
