The Nightly Darkness Poem by Mohammad Farhan

The Nightly Darkness

Rating: 5.0

Staring into the abyss of the endless night sky I realize where I've come, I reflect on myself while staring at the night sky looking so deathsome.

I look at infinity and stare into its eyes, I see a changing version of myself.

Amidst my contemplation prances a feeling,
a feeling of comfort, the comfort of solitude,
a solitude of peace.

I crave unending finesse,
but find myself bound by obligations,
I do not find a helper for my distress.

Such is the tapestry of my life, weaving in on itself and spreading unbound,
I crave a life of eternal comfort,
something I still haven't found.

I find myself in a whirlpool of thoughts and imaginations, not knowing where I head and who I lead.

I am only a fellow traveller who travels into this night's darkness and questions as I go,
for I lend a helping hand but do not see one to and fro.
