The Mirage Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

The Mirage

Rating: 5.0

Love is dead
It was alive when you were a child
But it is no more
You lost it somewhere along the way

Love is dead
It is simply give and take now
Business like
Economics pure and simple

Love is dead
It was martyred
In the struggle for existence
Perished in the process of growing up

Love is dead
Each one for himself now
Treading a lonely road
To eternity

Tragically going to be true. We all have lost the beautiful form of love we used to feel in our childhood days and adolescence. Afterwards it has started becoming rare and rarer. No more unconditional love, after our parents are once gone, till we ourselves become parents. Thanks for the beautiful poem dear poetess friend. Regards Subhas
