The Mercy Of Mother. Poem by Sahra Hussein

The Mercy Of Mother.

Mom, I can't redo what you have done for me.
The more I have flashbacks, the more I cry.
Yesterday I was a tiny person sleeping in your stomach.
You carried me in your stomach nine months.
Every day I was getting heavier and heavier,
But you never said I can't carry you anymore.
Instead you touched your stomach to feel and to watch every movement I made.
You had a hard time and tasted pain when you delivered me.
The first second I came on the earth you took me to your chest.
You smiled, full of mercy, and forgot every pain you were in.
You held me up and gave me milk from your body.
You kept me when I was so weak that I didn't know the difference
Between danger and peace.
You took care of me and never allowed me to be in pain.
I am a human being and I felt pain.
When I became sick, you sat by my side all night long,
Crying and feeling scared more than anyone else.
You ran to me when I fell down.
You held me to your chest.
You carried me on your back when I cried
For hours and hours until I fell asleep.
You made sure to feed me before yourself.
You laid down and help me up and made me smile.
The more I have flashbacks, the more I cry.
I ran to your side to share with you my happiness.
I couldn't feel at peace without your mercy.
I can't feel what love means or taste how sweet life is
Without your love.
I can't feel warm without putting my head in your lap.
I can't be strong without your advice.
I can't be brave without your motivation.
I can't redo one moment of my life
What you have done for me.
I am so proud to be your child.
I love you from the bottom of my heart.
I will be by your side every minute you need me.
If I am able to keep away from you the sickness,
I won't allow you to feel pain.
And erase everything bothering you from your heart.
Mother! Mother! ! I love you from the bottom of my heart.
