The March Into Eternity Poem by Anthony Russomanno

The March Into Eternity

Each of us struggle to rise up, not knowing the path
we find our way to this place. Made holy on a long
march into eternity.

We lay down our garments, some as new snow,
others old like the leaves of autumn
that add to the dust of creation.

They carry our father, mother, brothers and sisters
longing to embrace the past and join with us in
some misty memory.

You will find no one but the living in this place
who remember that part of us we left behind
as they find their way into tomorrow.
