The Emerald Grass and The Divine Love Poem by Parameswaran Nair Damodaran Nair

The Emerald Grass and The Divine Love

Rating: 5.0

This emerald grass in the valley
stays in silent prayers all nights
With extended begging hands
For love eternal and immaculate

Last lap of the night takes adieu
The winter fog doesn't chill my body
And despair can't freeze the soul
I stay and pray in deep firm faith

The sun with the warm hands
Caresses me, and murmurs softly
The breeze into my ears, 'Its day,
Wake from the penance and look'.

I open my eyes and to my surprise
I behold the drop of dew in my hands
Dazzling and gleaming and I realise
It is not a dew drop but your divine love.

It's the gift of God to give the neglected grass the colour of Emerald and the pearls of dew drops
