The Cloak Of Gratitude Poem by Varsha M

The Cloak Of Gratitude

Amidst the world so proud
Finding a soul down to earth
Is like searching a pearl
In the vast expanse of desert.
Hurt, malice, rage and slander
Rule the nation once called equator
Shifting the focus from prime locus
To ill-gotten derivative versions
Ruining all that was to blossom
Distributing fragrant essence all over siloam.
Bending my back a little bit
And apologize before the other does
Only builds a bridge to success
With pebbles which says
Never mind, there is another trial session
Giving strength to guilty and broken soul
To try it another time again
Until I make it awesome great pass
As I don the cloak of gratitude, at your service.
