Today,
More than ever before
In our lifetime,
We are facing,
Very terrible, dangerous
Times,
Without strong Nations,
Nor great Leaders,
With intelligent and
Trustworthy, governments
To defend us from
Fratricide, crimes.
Rouge and dictatorial
States, present a real
And vivid danger
To the little freedom
Left.
Like hungry beasts
Some, now
Ravenously plunge
To get what they can get
While others wait,
Hidden behind curtains
Of distress,
For more appropriate
Moments,
To dispatch, their
Deadly plans
Of destructive
Conquest.
In times like these,
Poets, Artists
And those
Of good hearts
Have to lead,
Expose and discourage,
The conquering snakes
That want to become
The masters of
An enslaved world,
That so much
Unhappiness,
With mental and physical
Slavery, would certainly
Undertake,
Undoubtably, being
A Fatal,
And total Mistake!
An inspiring poem that emphatically responds to the call of the day. I wonder if the poet wanted to mean 'Rogue' instead of Rouge in the 13th line.
A very powerful and timely call that we must all concur. Besutifully delivered.
I agree entirely. Never in my lifetime have I seen the turmoil we are faced with today. The sad thing is, I think we are preaching to the convinced. The followers of Right-wing misinformation do not bother to read what we write. You cannot have a debate with them either. Only they are right.
In total agreement with you, Sandra! Poets have always been a vital threat to tyrants. And are amongst the first to be jailed.
Yes, dear poetess, today we live in a world lacking moral value and ethical strength. Fraternity and humanity have become properties of poets and writers
Indeed. We live in treacherous times. It's going from bad to worse

I would like to translate this poem
Conquering snakes have no place under the umbrella of humanity. Good people must unite to deliver these demons to their state of nothingness. To my Poem List.
