Tehran Troubadours Poem by M S Newhadney

Tehran Troubadours

More impressive than priest prayer
Are Tehran Troubadours under city layer
With their brown skin, black hair, blue jean
They represent fact of life neat and clean
With a recorder hanging from their shoulder
They don't care about any kind of border
No matter if their music lacks harmony and counterpoint
Their mission is something else needed to pinpoint
They make our bitter life a little bearable
Help our sufferings become more understandable
They play from Freedom square to Revolution street
Both sacred words which have gone under the feet
Now that modern medicine surrender to corona virus
Only you troubadour can help us on life focus

Note: Troubadours were poets and singers who used to travel around and perform to noble families in Italy and France in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. (Collins Dictionary)
