Sunshine's Ascension Poem by Bryan Taplits

Sunshine's Ascension

The signs of winter, no longer being sought-
It's marks being all melted away,
Spring has come; new things are of it's plot-
With foliage and greenery in play.
New life is alight
Squirrels chatter, birds trill
The world seems now the opposite of plain-
For now sunshine's warmth is all about-
And Springtime: Now wholly in reign.
No longer is whiteness there to blind
No longer is slush underfoot
No longer is cold a bitter task
To avoid and jump over-but now sass.
A wonder it is that every six months
The world comes awake and again is renewed,
The lesson to learn-so do not turn your head-
Is yes. It can happen-also-to you.
