Make me laugh -
For the darkness creeps in
carrying its ghostly baggage
and refusing to leave.
Random thoughts assail
from all dreary sides.
Talk to me - no more -
Let me live
in the moment
of your endless smile.
Tell me a story;
Stay awhile.
And I promise to
stay myself a bit longer
just to see the ending through.
