Spring Poem by Birbal Singh

Spring

Rating: 4.6

I am clinging to my life
like the last
leaf
clings to the twig
fighting fierce west winds.
Not to survive eternally,
Or to evade the inevitable
But for just another glimpse
Of coming Spring.

A verse that goes deeper than what appears on first reading, a wish to survive even just for the next precious moment.10+
