Spam Poem by Bill Cantrell

The leaders serve the people
Patriots that gave their lives
A speech they give to honor them
while checking out their wives

Cowards sending endless troops
Decisions confirmed while playing cards
Expendable fodder on their game of chess
With onions in their pockets, they say we gave our very best

The bottom line behind closed doors,
"We must design a tasty speech"
Food for thought, win or lose,
they gave their lives for me and you

Now as the crocodile tears stain their souls
Stained glass windows with a prayer read from a script
The main thing is they retain control,
packing them in a can, and throwing it in a hole

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Oh no way mean to disrespect those who sacrificed their lives, history shows so much evidence of crooked politicians, and even certain churches sending men to fight for their own ego, I do hate or war and violence of any kind
