Why did the tomato turn red and run?
Because it saw the salad dressing and wanted some fun.
A frog walked into a bar and said, with a grin
'I'll take a pint of ale, before I hop on in'.
Why did the chicken cross the playground?
To get to the other slide, without making a sound.
The lawyer billed his clients for every little thing
Including the air they breathe, and even their wedding ring.
Why did the hippo visit the dentist?
To fix the gap in her teeth and look resplendent.
These couplets may not be too profound
But they'll surely make you smile, as you look around!
stanza 6: This was well-composed and well-rhymed. But, at WHAT am I to supposed to 'look around'? Hmm? **** stars
stanza 5: How close have YOU been to see all the teeth in a hippo's mouth? You might find MORE teeth than you expected. I looked up 'dentation of hippos' & the info was intereting, though some text implied that a hippo does NOT eat meat, which may NOT be true of some.
stanza 4: THIS ONE I did NOT think was funny (ha ha funny) , but, instead, funny (strange) . WHO, if anyone, was the lawyer working for? ? I'd disbar her/him FAST! ! ! ! !
stanza 3: 'You' altered an OLD(er) riddle-joke (about 'why did the chicken cross the road') and it's funny. I wonder, did YOU do it?
Iine 2: I 'had to' read this twice before a hearty (not TOO hearty) laugh burst from my mouth. I'm still not sure I 'picture' the scene, but..... ;) line 4: again I had to 'tax my brain' aka 'make my brain work (more) ' before dedidine WHAT WAS FUNNY.
