Sleepless Night Poem by Hebert Logerie

Sleepless Night

Rating: 5.0

I am tired but I cannot fall asleep
The thoughts are colorful and deep
I keep on turning from left to right
I am boxing with myself. It's like a fight
I feel your absence
I need your presence
By me, next to me
I am not sleepy
I feel strange and awkward
I feel like a coward
I cannot fall a sleep
The thoughts are numerous and deep
I keep on playing with my pillows
I miss you dearly, my gorgeous rose
I have the urge to get up to write
This is not fair. This is not right
I want to fall asleep so I can dream
I want to share with you an ice cream
I want you to try a new flavor
Yes, I always want a favor
I miss you. I want you by my side
I want you, of course, inside
Not outside of the bedroom
I don't think that you're in the bathroom
I am not happy; I have no idea where you are
I am guessing: oh! No, you are not at the bar
This is a sleepless night for me
Darling, I miss you dearly
I cannot fall a sleep
This is deep. I want to be deep
In a beautiful dream at the beach
Where you and I are healthy and rich
We are having a lot of fun
During the day under the sun
And at nighttime under the moon
I miss you immensely, my darling
I need you to sing a lullaby tune
And to cradle me on the swing.
