Sinister Songs Sung Poem by Paul Brookes

Sinister Songs Sung

Alone inAugust to dance epic dances
darkhumorous waltzes herald Autumn
afarewell to a daughter dead leaf buried.

by the fire discriminatory dogsdream
elegies to educate the masses
hopes a butterfly easily crushed

Christianchildren taught to hate evil
commit it with the faith of judgement
freedom shrinks justice uphold lies.

keeping courage in a crazyculture
where lies become the truth
and sounds bites and slogans decide our fate.
