Side Poem by Abyssinian Queen

Side

The switch flipped. Fear grew in me as darkness consumed his eyes. The quickening speed of my heart is in-sync with the growing hatred of him, of men. The colors of the rainbow swallowing the limbs of my body. Just like a fish on land the struggle is useless. Weeping, scratching, screaming the noises of pleasure for such a predator. 'I love you' 'I love you' he repeats as though this is love. The steady ticks of time begin to slow down as the all consuming pain sets me free from the world. My temple has fallen from the fists of uncontrollable rage that is found deep inside all of mankind.
