Rise And Shine Poem by Genice Lorraine De Fabriciano

Rise And Shine

Rating: 5.0

Butterflies of white
will kiss you good night
as dreams fly you up
and away like a kite
not knowing your plight
for soul could take flight
into the deep of night
upon a wing and a prayer
delivery of dream angels
sends you safely from there
as you slide down a rainbow
returning to your soft pillow
of a cloud as you sleep snugly
until song of morning light
smiles through your window
singing, Rise and Shine!

If I could think like this, I wouldn't suffer with insomnia. Better than counting sheep, and equal to the best of lullabies! Perhaps I'll read this one nightly before retiring. Another A+ effort from Genice, and I believe I'll follow Bernard's lead and award it a '10', as well!
