Refugee Poem by Bryan Sefton

Refugee

Trivial words, none heard
No matter how we scream
Seagull souls cry then fly
To escape this crazy scene
They terrify each frightened head
These foul tongues talking peace
Forget his soldiery, they will flee
Crack this flea on humanity
Bring him to his knees!

Oh unpurged images flee my dreams
Free me from this wailing sea
Oh my God who art so helpless
I must survive to care for thee
Let this fanatical invention pass
Let it sink like dew into the grass
Come ye Gods join, become one
Merge your philosophy and be done
Wake the world, all sanity fled
Reason gone and logic dead

Search for us beneath the earth carpet
