Reconsider Poem by Drich The Poet

Reconsider

Rating: 4.0

I know it hurts sometimes
To see and not to react
To know and not argue
But you'll get over it.

My definition of love
Is pain. Pain of having to
leave you to stick
With others. That's pain.

I don't incriminate you.
You fell for me. You knew and played along.
I am ready to be called on
To testify in honor of myself
If only you could reconsider.
Between far and wide
I lurk, seeking approval
Of what will be done.

Rumors wash over me
Only give what you can afford to lose
Why give away what I might need?
Surprisingly, I'm not wealthy
And have little to lose.
Should I count my blessings, you'd go twice.
I'm talking about myself.
Myself that's lost and seeking to prove them wrong.

Drich has come to lay hands on your hearts.
That coronates in malacious acts.
Be a witness to the power of words.
I find no approval from peers again.
I see six they see nine.
Such a diverse world.

Old memories of old self shall
I put in archive.
And become a new being and
Do the works I was meant to do.
Reconsider your choices
And actions that sprout bad vibes.
I'm a victim and I tell you my story.
For words can go deep and resurrect a dead soul.
Amen
