Rebirth

In the warmth of the sunlight
I watch the orchid's petals fall
Like the tears of a child
They dance into the soil
For the orchid's rebirth

Tremendous verse, LeeAnn. I do think tragedy and lightness are tied together in the cycle of life. Without one, the other does not exist....It is life and death....and rebirth. Fantastic poem.

I love a good poem that has nature as its theme, flowers are like the phoenix constantly being reborn with the fire of life breathing through light. The style of this reminds me of Tang Poetry, a great like!
