Yesterdays have robbed you of innocence,
denied you rights: you regard not.
Neither paused once nor revisited history,
you followed blind dead habit.

Lost your springs when quite young;
you took democracy a misnomer, as
echoed the steps of your predecessors.
A monochrome life you lived indeed.

Perhaps you felt no difference in all:
hired the brain, tired thee heart.— Now
doubt the mirror you trusted so far,
further you refuse yourself is yours.

You dig through in want of hope
after a false face, a false breast
you could not stand Today.
You have had enough of it!

Pray to shake off office,
you watch your family intervene.
Strive to patch up rivalry,
you find your ego break in.
Set off to speak your mind,
you spot the canons barring.

You see no room for the self,
but a poor social animal that
cry for freedom behind bars.
You feel despair girded on ye arm.

Here Tomorrow comes
more potent and darker.
You see forth
a doomsday draw near.

Is it too late for a revolution?
Never! With a firm resolution
you turn round and face the mirror.
You dream to rob the system.

Armed guardians fast lay siege;
you are marked, labelled for a rebel,
taken in custody without delay.
Your emotions are crushed under reason.

You sink beneath her fathomless blue
all-night she quenched your fire.
Next day the same yes-man again. For
the male voice is heard no more.
