foregoing technology.
Yes, this contemplative solitary finds comfort in
his familiar world.
He is not wild, but rather stoic and solid. His
mind is full of hidden treasure, and nature is the
ever present companion.
Vast reward is reaped within his inner quest for
a peaceful and meaningful existence.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Years ago, I bounced and jostled for many miles down a dusty, deeply rutted dirt road in Arizona to meet the legendary Old Man Finch, a real hermit. There he finally was, sitting on his rustic front porch, as content and welcoming as could be. The thoughts in this prose have come about from this memory.
