Will the world keep watching these war games
that you both as Presidents are playing in your countries
where one conquers, another fights to re-conquer the lost land?

Will the war keep continuing and people keep dying
in the fires of the bombs and explosions, bullets and gunshots
which the soldiers are carelessly directing on them?

Will these eyes keep speculating the terror and harm
the war is causing to both your countries
as life is so immersed in distress and sufferings?

Will this mind keep worrying all day and night long
waiting for the war to end so that people can walk back
in their streets and neighborhoods instead of looking
at those war tanks and soldiers parading in their vicinities?

Will the two of you keep playing the tournament of vengeance
by capturing and re-capturing one city after another
while houses and apartments keep getting demolished
by the missiles your countries are firing at each other?

Will you both keep glorifying that you are defending your nation
while so many innocent people keep losing their lives
in the incessant bombardment that has been persisting
for the last over two hundred days without any mercy?

Will other nations keep on empowering one country
with billions of dollars and constant arms supply
so that it carries on defending the invasion
while the entire Europe faces economic crisis
besides fuel and gas shortage?

Will you both as Presidents ever count those fatalities
which the war has caused and is still causing
or will you both keep reveling in the action of fighting
and upholding a rivalry which is so punishing
to the life of people, their families and their children?

Will you both ever retrospect in surrendering to a compromise and accept an accord in the interest of people's safety and unity or will you never think of enabling people to survive
even if it is under a new regime they have to live
rather than die in a war which is so ruthless and endless?

Will you have answers to those families when they ask you
where are their sons and brothers, their husbands and fathers; as soldiers they have been fighting and dying
as war keeps killing them without any sympathy?

Will you both ever succeed in turning back the clock
and reviving your countries to their original forms
or will you both keep on destroying and devastating
the homes and lives of millions of people of your nations?

Will you both ever choose to act more discreet and quit the war by surrendering to a compromise
so that your nation gets back
to its terrain of peace and serenity?

Will you both as Presidents show compassion to your people
and end the war so that the world becomes a better place
to live and breathe freely without having to think of a war
in Ukraine which is so devastating and futile to humanity?
