I sit to write a poem
A poem of love and life
Of beautiful lines and golden sounds
A poem to tickle the ears and freshen the mind.
I stand to write a poem
A poem of capabilities and insight
Of infinite potentials and conquering
A poem to encourage humanity and build the world
I kneel to write a poem
A poem of sadness and tears
Of failed dreams and wasted lives
A poem to drain pain and renew the heart
I lie to write a poem,
A poem of death and decay
Of prolonged despair and perpetual sorrow
A poem to inquire and find answers
It tickles the ears and refreshes the mind
Man is encouraged to further build the world
Pain is exorcised from the heart
The mind continues its eternal inquiry
So what has it done, my poem?
Life and love, beauty and gold remains fleeting
The towers are still unable to touch the sky and conquer the sun
Dreams remain dreams, the mind inquires still, and pain still constant.
Yet we write.

I like the different positions taken for writing poems. Well done. Thank you for sharing, Dankaro. Peace
Thanks Kelly. Each of those positions emphasizes a state of mind. A state of mind which poetry attempts to further or to alleviate. Yet in all, it mostly fails.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
A poem of death and decay Of prolonged despair and perpetual sorrow A poem to inquire and find answers....//.... Probing life from different angles is just amazing. Thanks.
Thank you so much Rajnish. Your comments as usual are always spot on.
