Poemhunter Missionary Poem by Bill Grace

Poemhunter Missionary

Rating: 5.0

I encourage all I meet
who tell me of their poems
that if they want to publish
in that terrible ring called poetry
of PoemHunter.com
so that they will suffer a little less in silence
from the world's indifference
knowing other poets are watching.

Great sentiment here! Too much attention to indifference is self-defeating. But when we just keep giving, because we have the infinite resource to do so, the world will come knocking on our doors. Knock, knock! :)

Thank you Bill for putting the word out! One of the saddest things is an unread poem. They seem to come to life once read.

Puts me in mind of a little poem by Emily Dickinson: A word is dead when it is said, some say. I say, it just begins to live that day.

This is your greatness that you encourage poets you meet here in Poemhunter. They will suffer little less in world's silence. Poets continuously watch poems here. Wonderful and thoughtful poem is shared here...10
