The smell, embedded in my flesh
Attacks my stomach
the stench of death burned into my hands
Plague blisters swelling
An eye for an eye, a pound of flesh
stuck in my head like a song
I sear and burn and cook
like you
and suck my seeping fingers well
I can live, forget the pain, forget the taste
I can't forget the smell
