Peeping Upon The Stars Poem by Jude Ogunade

Peeping Upon The Stars

As I lay myself on my back,
As I keep count of the stars,
Alone, along a lonely beach,
Heaven surely has a lot to teach.

As I peep upon Pleiades,
I plead to God on high,
To severe my ties with sorrow,
And sweeten my brows with joy.

Orion was majestic,
And the Bull plunging headlong,
Along the expanse of the night,
Whilst the Fish herself, glide gladly.

Whao! See how pleiades creep,
Upon the furrows of the Bull,
And I too, took time with the past,
As I keep track of my tasks.

As heaven laid before me,
Dancing in harmonious synchronization,
To the melody of celestial orchestra,
Clothed in majestic garments of diamonds.

And the moon, moved majestically.
Diving among the seas of stars.
And like a boomerang, ranting,
Heaping vengeance on evil doers.

As I peep upon the stars,
My mind went to my scars,
And tears came calling on my brows,
Convinced, determined to fulfill my vows.

Tears trickled down the ridges of my cheeks
And I thanked providence for the opportunity of pain
For he had truly lost
Who had learnt nothing from pain.

Yet I know that these stars
Shine after their bouts of pains
For every perturbing pain
Ushered in cherished gains.
