Parting Ways Poem by Avinash Nair

Parting Ways

Rating: 5.0

With our fingers entwined in deep embrace
We stare out, away to some different space
The passion unspent is heightened here,
But then there is this guilt with a tinge of fear
We barely meet eyes,
We rarely speak,
But then our emotion finds its voice
Within the silence of our choice.
With her fear laden eyes she looks at me,
A short smile of subtle degree
Passes across her lips
And I try to contain the second that slips,
But then, alas! It is time to part
And our love remains unspent
In our solitary heart.
