Paper Love Poem by Thomas Dooley

Paper Love

Rating: 5.0

She was 19 and alone
No place to call her own
Two packed bags was all she called home

Her innocence taken from her long ago
All she is left with is a head full of dreams
She became an adult before she became a teen

Now she is chasing after Paper Love
For thirty minutes maybe more
Just nock on the door

She got her own room
She controls the mood
She will make the move
Nothing you need to do

Just leave that Paper Love on the stand
She will make sure you feel like a man
Just take her hand

She doesn't know any other way of life
Wrong or right she make her own price
It can be a donation if you like

She is chasing Paper Love
No time for anything emotional
Or anything personal

Love has no choice Love has no voice
It something with a price just make you feel alright
Can't but it behind just want to continue liven the lie

Just chasing Paper Love
If there is more to this world she would want some
Never given a chance for something different

Believing this is all she could be
