Palindrome Poem by Safiyyah Manjra

Palindrome

Age is a just a number.

So they say,
Why does it have such a big part to play?

Why do we fall for those who are much younger?
Or older?

Is it because of the innocence,
Or the experience?

Maybe they view us in a different way.
Which makes us want them to stay.

Maybe they make us feel safe and secure.
See us for the strength we thought was obscure.

These feelings should be absent.
Yet our hearts give consent.

If age was the same would we express?
These feelings and emotions which we have learnt to repress?

Yet this is not only the case.
These people can be taken by those whom you shall never replace.

Therefore, such feelings you are obligated to erase.

A clever write taking into account all the Theys on Earth. What they say should be responded to preferably in a poem.++10

Thank you Sir. Sometimes I wonder if being clever due to natural accord is more valued than being clever through effort or is the cleverness weighted equally.... it is also astonishing how initially a simple thought grows into something much more.

Such feelings you are obligated to erase but times treasures everything in memory. This poem is definitely very brilliantly penned...10

I wonder how often silent memories are able to break free. Thank you for the comment. I play with my words.
